These look awesome. I love za’atar with anything. And I bet the mixture would also be awesome with an egg on top, which is precisely what I plan on doing soon. 🙂

  15. You’ve made me miss my grandmothers home (she si from a little known town in India called Jamalpur) with all that photo talk about Swiss chard. We have sooo many acres of swiss chard and pepper plantations in our back yard in Jamalpur, it’s amazing.I wish i knew the recipe back then..we would be making it everyday.

  16. On my list of spices to try! Have you gotten an endorsement from the Swiss chard people–I have only had one failed attempt cooking with chard, but you’ve made me want to hazard another go with it…

  17. Yummy and so so awesome!!!

I’d add a huge dollop of sour cream, methinks. Maybe not in a taco, but as a side dish of sorts.

Ok, maybe I’m a bit biased being a Middle Eastern food blogger… but I love these flavors. Aleppo pepper has such an incredible aroma and yet is so underused in cooking. Awesome job working it into tacos! If this heat wave ever settles our chard will be on its way to growing soon. Bookmarking this 🙂

  27. Candace says:
