A showstopper of a pie filled with a blackberry wine reduction and lime curd, and topped with a stunning burnt Italian meringue.

I was really excited to see this on Culinary Covers–it looked superb! And yet so time-consuming, but a fun project for a weekend. You did an amazing job!

It’s gorgeous and I can imagine how delicious!
I am gonna say the same thing as I have on my last few times… Oh my god yummmmmm
This pie sounds very luxurious. I have never made anything like this with a wine reduction in a desert. I need to move next door to you so that I can try all your interesting dishes and desserts 🙂
Can I have a piece please? I have to make this because I know i would love it. Blackberries, Italian meringue, lime, and pie are pretty much my favorite things on earth.
Absolutely gorgeous pie, looks like such a treat… and so pretty!
Um, this is my DREAM dessert. I love the fruit, I LOVE the meriengue! I am totally a fruit dessert person.
Lime curd? I feel like I’ve finally broken my addiction to lemon curd. This does not bode well.
wow this is a stunner, Joanne.
PIE PIE PIE PIE PIE. 🙂 Look at that gigantic meringue! YES PLEASE.
You know, I’ve only tried making a few fruit pies and have never done one with meringue. I totally remember seeing the cover and thinking it looked great. Love that you recreated it!
Holy cow, that looks amazing! Heading over for the recipe.
Prettiest thing ever. Clicking through right now!
oh my god this is so pretty, meringue is my achilles heel (both eating AND cooking).
What a beauty! It looks delicious too 🙂
When I saw the title of this recipe, I knew exactly what you made. Because I, too, bought that copy of Bon Appetit because of that gorgeous pie. I still haven’t made it – but now I’m one step closer!
This pie is a gorgeous creation and the flavor combination is making my mouth water. Lovely meringue too!
Looks delicious Joanne! Love the blackberry and lime combo. Sounds just perfect for a hot August day.
That is quite the presentation!
Wow definitely hopping over to see the recipe! Your pie looks ridiculously delicious! Berries would go so well on this meringue pie!
I love the height of the meringue. What a jaw-dropping pie! xx

I don’t see why not! Let me know how it turns out if you do!!

It sounds marvelous!
this would be a dangerous thing at my house i tell you- DANGEROUS!
goodness I am not a huge meringue fan but those swirls are amazing – if you lived in Australia you might understand when I saw they remind me of Leunig’s Mr Curly or even the Sydney Opera House – hey you probably have heard of our opera house – yes? no?
Absolutely stunning! The taste is probably heavenly. What a show-stopper!
