Get all French and fancy with your breakfast! Thus yogurt creme brulee tastes like dessert but is actually totally wholesome.
There is something very satisfying about whipping out your mini blowtorch before you’ve had your morning coffee.
Satisfying and dangerous, now that I think about it. Should I be trusted to do anything before coffee? Doubtful.
But…if I can do it, you can do it.
REALLY. I believe in you.
Greek yogurt is my breakfast go-to on a regular basis. It’s easy, it’s quick, it’s high in protein, and you can pretty much adapt it to whatever flavors you’re craving.
But sometimes it tastes a little bit…too good. Too wholesome. Too playing-by-the-rules.
Those days you have to dare to be different. Throw a thin even layer of sugar on top of your yogurt bowl and torch it to melty caramelized sugar bliss.
And if that doesn’t sound like heaven to you, we might have to reassess our best friend-ship. Really.
Lately the Greek yogurt I’ve been reaching for to fill my breakfast needs is one from the Chobani Oats line. With 10 grams of protein and 10 grams of whole grains in every container, they are such an easy and convenient way to make sure I’m starting off my morning with the right kind of fuel. Not to mention, they just came out with two new fabulous flavors – Raisin Brown Sugar and Peach – that I can’t get enough of. However, I’ve yet to meet a Chobani flavor that I didn’t love especially since, no matter the variety, each and every cup of Chobani Greek Yogurt is made with fresh milk from cows not treated with rBST and proudly contains no artificial sweeteners, preservatives or flavors. It’s America’s #1 Greek yogurt brand for a reason!
I like to stir a little bit of extra fruit into my creme brulees because that’s just how I roll, especially since I feel like I’m going to blink and it will all of a sudden be out of season, but you should go wherever your heart takes you on this.
Or you could just creme brulee as is. No one would blame you.
- 1 (5.3-6 oz) container Greek yogurt
- a few slices of fruit of your choice
- ½ tbsp sugar
- Combine the Greek yogurt and fruit in a ramekin. Sprinkle with the sugar. Heat with a blowtorch until the sugar is melted and caramelized.

I love how quick and easy this is! Haha, getting your blow torch out in the morning is always the sign of a good day.
Oh maaaan. Creme brulee for breakfast?? Complete with the blowtorch and EVERYTHING?! Pretty sure my Friday-centered mind and appetite can handle that. 😉
I am currently eating every peach in sight before the local ones disappear and are replaced by the coming pumpkin storm. Love this breakfast. LOVE.
Those peaches on top look heavenly! Love the greek yogurt in here 🙂 Pinning!
Oh, clever! Do you think this would work under the broiler?
The blow torch part sounds fun – I’ve always wanted to make creme brulee and this sounds like a good way to try something similar.
Love this! I actually made this once, not exactly with the combination of fruit you used, but my photos turned out so bad I never included in the blog
I must re-visit this idea!
🙂
I think I need a blowtorch… I’d feel like a badass whipping out my blowtorch to fancy up my yogurt on the weekend. 😉
I love all the things caramelized and this simple treat looks soooo good! I must eat all the peaches before they go out of season!
You are one brave girl to play with your blowtorch before your cuppa coffee! I might confuse the ends! Oooops and Ouch!
And yogurt creme brulee??? Now my morning yogurt can be exciting!

I’ve had creme brulee oatmeal dozens of times, but never creme brulee yogurt!
What a fantastic idea!! I seriously need a mini blowtorch…
Woah this is a GREAT idea!! I am definitely going to try this one. (although this will involve me purchasing a blow-torch which may be a public safety hazard. Stay tuned…)
Creme brulee for breakfast?! Sounds like the best breakfast ever!!! 🙂
I don’t have a blow torch so now I feel so screwed! Wow, you brought an international twist to breakfast, love it. Peach season is always way too short, don’t you think?
As you say – Joanne – there’s nothing not to like about this:-)
I’m getting out the blow torch now.
Hey.,You are one brave girl to play with your blowtorch before your cuppa coffee! I might confuse the ends! Oooops and Ouch!

YES!! PLEASE! Just send me the pan. I will wash it before I send it back. 🙂
This is certainly an ingenious and delicious looking treat!!!
Ahhhh! What a great idea!! And I love the oats line 🙂
I love Chobani yoghurt. This is a lovely, simple recipe and would make a great mid-week dessert. I meant to tell you in your last Wednesday post that the book, ‘Big Little Lies’ is set in a part of Sydney where I used to live. It’s exactly as Liane describes in her book especially with the mix of people from bankers to hippies xx
OMG! Yogurt Creme brulee for breakfast? Why not? SO much yes to this stunning looking delicious breakfast. YUM!
What a wonderful idea! Creme brulee goes down as one of my all-time winners in the dessert category. I know I’d love this.
This new Chobani sounds really good! We ‘ll have to get some. Lol… about the blowtorch – you are hilarious Joanne!
I LOVE these creme brûlées!! AND I love Chobani. AND we just raided Bed Bath and Beyond to complete our kitchen and I just realised that we do not have a mini torcher!!!! Be right back.
