Apple Butter and Brie Potstickers

Truth be told…I feel almost bad calling this a recipe.

BUT ISN’T THAT WHAT THE HOLIDAYS ARE ALL ABOUT?!

Tricking your your family and friends into thinking you’re a culinary superstar by serving them super easy-to-make food that tastes like you slaved over it all day, when really it took you the better part of twenty minutes. Ummm, yeah. I’m all about that.

Apple Butter and Brie Potstickers

Melted brie is a holiday staple and I try not to sing a single carol or stand under the mistletoe for even a second without making sure I get my fix first. Priorities, people!!

These apple butter and brie potstickers are a step up from the usual en croute preparation. Not only do they not require any messing with puff pastry but they also don’t require you to perfectly time pulling anything out of the oven with your guests’ arrival, all while still capturing that sweet tart cheesy melty brie essence.

The dumplings themselves can be prepared ahead of time and then be fried off in batches so that everyone gets a warm bite.

Combining “holidays” and “easy” sounds just lovely! I think these sound fantastic whether you slave for hours over them or not.

  2. I did a baked brie wrapped in pie dough for Thanksgiving and while it was super tasty, it was kind of messy to eat. But making them into mini potstickers? Brilliant!

Hope you two are doing well and that you’re feeling ok! Been thinking about you. 🙂

  3. Three ingredients that have to be put together and cooked. Totally a recipe! And I want 15 of them.

I LOVE this as an alternative to baked brie!

I love that bit about you needing your brie fix before doing other Christmassy things! It just proves that cheese solves almost anything. “Come say hi to this relative you don’t get along with and haven’t seen for years.” “Um, no, I can’t, I haven’t had my brie yet.”

I can’t imagine being pregnant and being in med school at the same time. You’re kicking butt!

  6. I love these as an alternative to the en croute route. And yes, holidays are all about tricking people into thinking you’re Martha Stewart. These “recipes” are lifesavers!

  7. See, if you didn’t make this a recipe, I wouldn’t have thought of doing this! This sounds AH-MAZING!

With the build up to Christmas being so very hectic and with thousands (okay, that’s an exaggeration) of dishes to prepare, a few quick and fast appetisers are very welcome. I do love melted brie and I’m sure these potstickers would be devoured very quickly xx

Oh my – this looks divine!

I’m a fan of all dumplings, and these are super fun! What a great twist on baked brie. I also love how easy they are to make! Well done 🙂
