If anyone else absolutely positively cannot believe that the 4th of July is in two days…well, you can join the club.  And then commence stress-menu planning with me.

To calm us all down, I’ve compiled a round-up of some of my favorite 4th of July friendly recipes. So let’s all just breathe. And try not to get too hungry along the way.

First up, we have my all time favorite White Balsamic Custard Tart with Berry Topping. Honestly, can you imagine anything more patriotic?

Before we get into the real meat tofu and potatoes cake and buttercream of this post I just want to remind everyone that Google Reader is DISAPPEARING next week. Scary stuff if you follow five million blogs like I do. Thankfully, there are alternatives such as Feedly or Bloglovin (I’m a Feedly gal). Or…if you REALLY can’t stand the thought of missing an Eats Well With Others post, you could always subscribe to my feed via email and get my posts sent straight to your inbox every day!

I feel like I have five trillion things to update you guys on today but first things first.

Google Reader…is leaving us. For those of you who follow by email or just stop by on various days of the week to check in, you are fine and nothing will change. For those of you who follow Eats Well With Others via RSS feed and use Google Reader to do so…it’s probably best to switch over to another feed reader in the next few days to avoid losing all of your blog subscriptions! Some Google Reader alternatives that I’ve tried out are Bloglovin and Feedly. The nice thing about these two are that pretty much as soon as you sign in, they’ll ask you if you want to import your Google Reader subscriptions so you pretty much have to do nothing except check YES and then everything is done for you.  I, personally, am partial to Feedly but you should check out both and see what works for you!

Next…if you love salad-less salads as much as I do, then you NEED to check out my latest post on this Honey Mustard Broccoli Salad with Beluga Lentils over at Culinary Covers!
