I spent four years in Boston during college and fell in love with the city almost instantly.

The excited fervor that took over the city whenever the Red Sox were playing; and, of course, the happy chaos when they won the World Series in 2007.

The almost palpable elation on the first day that felt like spring, as the whole city seemed to take to the streets to revel in the glory of it.

The ice cream. JP Licks – you’ll always be my one and only.

The Charles River, which I ran along more days then I can remember, going from one bridge to another depending on the distance.

The food, which was just so good. Some of my favorite restaurants of all time are in Boston and it was there that I stopped being a picky eater and started to taste everything.

I would describe this as a big bowl of comfort but such descriptors are not really in season anymore (no matter what the weather would have us believe) and I don’t want to turn anyone off to the wonder that is pasta tossed with a hearty white bean sauce and topped with a garlic-rosemary oil drizzle before they’ve even given it a fair and valid chance.

So let’s see.

I participated in a campaign on behalf of Mom Central Consulting for ACH Food Companies Inc. I received a promotional item as a thank-you for participating.

This may be a little too philosophical for a Friday morning, but I think in order to really understand what this dessert is…we have to first talk about what it’s not.

It’s not a skillet cookie.

It’s not a cookie baked in a pie pan.

To be honest…it’s not even really a cookie at all whatsoever, recipe title notwithstanding.

So….moving is expensive.

Especially when a certain person keeps staring down beautifully outfitted kitchens on pinterest and convincing herself that (a) is price really an object when we’re talking about the living space of your dreams and (b) she can totally fit an island with a marble countertop into her 2xnothing kitchen.

In case you couldn’t tell….yes. A certain person is delusional.
