When your boss spends all of Thursday prefacing every sentence about every experiment he wants (i.e. is ordering) you to do next week with “you’re going to hate me, but…”

You have no option but to sing Nicki Minaj “classic hit singles” outside his office with one of your coworkers.

Loudly and out of tune.  (I mean…that’s a given.  If Nicki can do it, on-stage in front of thousands of people, every chance she gets…then so can you.)

It only took near exactly 365 days.  Five hundred twenty-five thousand six hundred minutes.  Fifty-two weeks.  Myriad daylights, sunsets, midnights, cups of coffee…however you want to measure.

But my brother has finally come around to the vegetarian thing.

And by that I mean, the last time I saw him (on my birthday) he only brought it up with disgust and disdain a mere less-than-ten times! That’s a world record for him.  Usually we’re in the triple digits.

The whole point of stir fries is that they’re quick and easy no-brainer kind of meals.  If they take more than twenty minutes…you’re doing something wrong.

My confession of the week (so far) is this: I am a stir fry failure.

It’s true. Just like I’m incapable of having a good less-than-five mile run, I can’t cook a meal in less than an hour.

Forty five minutes on a good day.
