Ice cream and a giveaway! Does life get any better?

I was recently given the opportunity to try out a variety of ice cream products/frozen treats.

See Exhibit A (below).

So the.boy and I set to eating. A lot. Of ice cream. And popsicles. And sometimes both in the same ten minute span. It was glorious.

Let’s discuss what we had, shall we?

My personal favorite were the Fruttare popsicles. I tried the coconut and milk flavor and they had me feel like I was on a tropical isle, with a cool drink in my hand and the sun beating down on me. So creamy delicious and refreshing. #Justcantgetenough.

The.Boy, in true peanut-butter-loving fashion, pretty much shoved his face into the Breyers Blasts Reese’s peanut butter ice cream and didn’t come up for air until the whole thing was gone. I managed somehow to get a spoonful in as he was doing so and instantly understood his obsession. Peanut butter ice cream with chunks of Reese’s. Not bad. Not bad at all.

And then both of us really adored the chocolate on chocolate action in the Klondike sandwiches. Because everyone knows that the only thing better than chocolate is double chocolate. Am I right or am I right?

Next, because we were trying to exert some kind of portion control, we tried the Magnum Ice Cream  Minis in the almond variety. They were pretty much the perfect after dinner treat to curb our sweet tooth without going overboard.

And finally, as kind of throwbacks to our childhood we had to indulge in the Good Humor strawberry shortcake pops and the Popsicle Cherry Orange Grape multi-pack. The former of which was always my ice cream truck treat of choice and the latter being what my mom used to always have on hand to satisfy our seemingly endless need for something sweet and icy in the middle of a long summer day.

Now that I’ve run you through the gamut of frozen treats that our out there, you’re probably wondering okay…but what’s in it for me. WELL. I have FREE coupons for each and every one of these products and one lucky winner will get them ALL. All you have to do to enter is leave a comment telling me which of these you would most like to get in your belly and why. DO IT.

    The Reese’s ice cream!

  2. Klondike bars are a serious nostalgic sweet dream for me. My mom loved them and we would get to have one on very special occasions like July in the swimming pool. :]

  3. Dee says:

Strawberry shortcake pops take me right back to a summer’s day in my backyard–when I was a little girl. Would love to have some more!

  4. jacquie says:

the magnum mini’s – never had them and the “cuteness” factor due to the size.

  5. Katie says:

You had me at Reese’s! It all looks great, but I have to get my hands on that!

  6. Sue M says:

The Fruttare popsicles sound like a delicious getaway, and bonus, likely they are dairy-free! Almond-chocolate is a hard combination to beat, though!

  7. Jen R says:

I’ve gotta go with the Klondike bar!

AHHH I’VE BEEN WANTING TO TRY THE COCONUT FRUTTARE SO BAD BUT I CAN’T FIND IT ANYWHERE. this would just be the greatest thing!

  14. Jena says:

I’m guessing these are US-only coupons, but since everyone in my family is an ice cream nut, if I win, I guess I’ll be nice & have you send them to my sister (who lives in a much hotter place than I do, anyway). Unless the coupons are also good in Canada, in which case, never mind.

I’m pregnant and one of the best ways to settle my stomach when it gets all acidic and reflux-y is ice cream. Lucky me, right? And my toddler loves PB, so she’d probably be in heaven with PB ice cream. So I guess that’s what I’d go for–the Breyers/Reese’s ice cream.

  15. Sarah says:

Magnum. With nutella. or cookie butter. or both. mmmmm

  16. Kelster says:

What I wouldn’t do for a Klondike bar. Love Klondike bars! And chocolate ones? Give me all of them please. There can never be too much chocolate.

  19. Hi Joanne! I prefer the Fruttare pops because their light, creamy and milky tasting, also full of flavor without a lot of calories and fat. the Magnums, so good Even named after a cult tv show

  23. kathy says:

I’ve always been a Klondike kinda girl – we used to get 6 packs of them in the middle of the summer when i was a kid and then my mom, my sister and I would eat the whole thing in no time at all. Ah, to be young and able to eat whatever the hell I wanted. #thosewerethedays

  35. sandra says:

I have to say I have a soft spot for a Klondike bar. Is it the catchy jingle? The nicely sized chocolatey covered squares? Or my penchant for polar bears (oh wait, that’s my son’s penchant)? In any case, that’s what I’d choose.

  36. Carolyn S. says:

Magnum almond minis, because minis leave room for MORE ICE CREAM!!

  37. Magnum is my favorite. I was first introduced to them when studying abroad in London, and fell in love. Now I’m mainly just in love with the memories they bring back!

  38. Abby says:

I love Klondike bars!! They are so delicious!

  39. Kathleen says:

I must must try the Breyers Blast Reese’s Peanut butter ice cream. I love all things peanut butter! My current addiction is Talenti’s chocolate peanut butter cup, a pint of which is biding its time in the freezer waiting to serve as my reward for enduring a dental procedure. As soon as the numbness moves out, that pint is gonna move on in! A close second is their salted caramel, but I am willing to do some brand hopping to try the Breyers peanut butter!

  40. I’ve been wanting to try out that Fruttare for awhile, but I can ever pass up a Reese’s ice cream! Tough to decide which I want more.

  41. Magnum minis definitely. I mean, then it feels like I can just eat more!

  44. Hotly Spiced says:

‘It’s a tough job but someone’s got to do it’. Can’t remember if I’ve told you but my father used to work for Unilever and every Tuesday was ‘staff sales’ and he would come home with boxes and boxes of ice creams. We always had a good supply of ice creams in our freezer. It was a day of great sadness when he left that job and started working for another company that made cleaning products – how to reduce a child to tears! xx

  45. TJ says:

I’d love to get my hands on that Reece’s ice cream!

  46. Sarah K says:

I want to try them all:)The Fruttare Coconut and Milk popsicles look very refreshing. Thanks for a chance to try them.

  47. Barbara Bradford says:

  48. Amanda says:

Those magnum bars! I love the caramel ones, but would like to try another flavor!

  49. I’d love to re-stock the freezer, esp with Reese’s ice cream, since my kids ate our stash like it was their JOB 🙂
