I’ve been dreaming up a green soup for awhile now but have yet to have a chance to do it…other ingredients seem to be distracting me, hah. This looks great, greens at their best! I notice you do a lot for Marcus Samuelsson. What exactly is the blog relationship there?
Beautiful as always!
My goodness, this is soup that you would expect from the very finest restaurants! Fabulous job!
Not only do I dream of the soup but I love the bowl too!
Oooooooh always excited for your soups!
I have to ask… whose prom picture is in the background? 😉
Sorrell and I need to get more aquainted. Looks beautiful Joanne
oooh, I have never had sorrel before. This looks delicious, Joanne!
Like many of the commenters,I have never had sorrel either nad am so intrigued after seeing this delicious soup.
Would love that soup if only I can get some sorrel! Reminds me of classic French cuisine.
What a lovely soup, Joanne. It is worth a trip to market to get the chard and sorrel. I hope you have a great day. Blessings…Mary
This looks awesome! And I’m so impressed you blogged for Marcus Samuelsson 🙂
Sues
This soup would be perfect for me today. It’s so cold and rainy here today. Soup weather!

Soup is good anytime of the year. Yummy!
Life DID hand me swiss chard (in my CSA basket) but not sorrel. I’m halfway there, though! I’m also running out of ideas for it, too, so thanks!
Your soup looks beautiful!! I would have never thought of making Swiss chard soup but I’d love to try it. I’ve never heard of sorrel leaves. I’m gonna have to do some research to find out what that is. 🙂
Oh My! that is absolutely stunning! I am sorry i have been so silent as of late. I have been reading but having issues with Blogger… Its Monique by the way, i think this is my temporary solution to the firewall. 🙂
YUUUUMMMM! This soup looks AMAZING…creme fraiche too? 🙂
Fancy soup! Pretty bowl too :), Miriam@Meatless Meals For Meat Eaters
I love that bowl! and the soup sounds killer, too…off to check it out.
I love soup and that soup looks absolutely delicious!
looks great
What a beautiful recipe! I’ve never cooked with sorrel before, but this seems like a great way to try it!
Beautiful color and looks awesome!
Sorrel – I’ve never even seen sorrel before – thought it was a mushroom! Fantastic looking soup. Marcus Samuelsson rocks!
Ooo I’ve never had sorrel before but it looks fabulous — hopefully I can find some locally :).
I could say more than “yum!” But really, that sums it up.
I love all kinds of creamy and clear soups. I don’t like them loaded with veggies, I mean I like them like this, where I can drink my soup and don’t have to eat it too, know what I mean?
Never would have thought of this flavor combo – but hey, I’m diggin’ it. Headin’ over to Samuellson’s blog now =)
I tried a new food (for me) today: collards. They’re GREAT. Now I have to add sorrel to the list of foods to try before I die! 🙂
gorgeous soup! now…if only creme fraiche is more widely available here…
Been reading a lot of recipes with swiss chard lately. Love it & this soup sounds awesome. Have you been to Marcus’s restaurant in NYC?
Silly me, I had Marcus confused with someone else 😉 No restaurant in NYC 🙂
Why are you making soup when it’s hot over there? 😉
