No, YOU try packing an entire apartment with a 1 year old under your toes without opening up the nearest wine bottle and chugging.
Impossible, I tell you.
And, bonus existential revelation of the day (BEROTD for short): if you drink the wine, you don’t have to pack it!!!
In my defense, I did actually take a pause mid-slurp first to allow my rosé to chill, then to mix it with all sorts of fun add-ins (kirsch! cointreau! cherry lime La Croix!), and finally to allow the cherry flavor to really steep in.
So that’s THREE pauses. The latter of which was overnight. I’m really feeling like I’m the picture of perfect self control right now, aren’t you?
Now, I realize some of you are like, WHAT?! You waited OVERNIGHT!?!?!?
Yes. Sort of?
We tried it a few hours after making it and it tasted a little….strong. At least for my fairly alcohol-naive taste buds. Much better the next day.
You guys are obviously much more worldly/get out more than I do, so you might taste it the same day and think it’s perfect. YOU DO YOU.
Just, save me a glass, mmmmkkkk? I’ve got a lot more packing still to do and I’m going to need it.
- 1 bottle chilled rosé
- 2 cups chilled cherry lime seltzer
- 2 lb frozen cherries
- ½ cup kirsch
- ¼ cup cointreau
- Combine the rosé, seltzer, cherries, kirsch, and cointreau in a large pitcher. Stir to combine.
- Allow to sit in the refrigerator for a few hours or overnight to best let the flavors infuse.
